Privacy Policy
Effective August 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OwlFoundry ("OwlFoundry," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our websites and hosted online services that link to this policy (collectively, the "Services").
Open-source software published by OwlFoundry may be installed and operated by third parties. This policy does not cover independently operated or self-hosted deployments. The operator of such a deployment is responsible for its own privacy practices.
Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect information you submit directly, such as your email address, account details, support requests, and other communications.
Google OAuth information
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile image. We do not request access to content in Google products such as Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or Contacts.
We use these fields to authenticate you, create or connect your account, display your profile, provide account support, protect your account and the Services, and comply with law. We store them as part of your account record and retain them as described in the Data retention section below.
We share these fields only with service providers acting on our behalf to host, secure, or operate the Services; when you direct us to do so; when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety; or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. The general use and sharing provisions below do not authorize any broader use or disclosure of Google OAuth information.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Services, we may collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device type, request timestamps, pages or features used, and diagnostic or security events. We may also use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, and user preferences.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- respond to support requests and other communications;
- monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and protect security;
- improve the Services; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Google API data
Our use and transfer to any other application of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use information received from Google APIs for advertising, and we do not sell that information.
How we share information
We may share personal information only as needed:
- with service providers that process information on our behalf to host, secure, support, or operate the Services;
- when you direct us to share it or connect a third-party service;
- to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why we process it. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless the law requires us to retain it.
Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information or account by emailing privacy@owlfoundry.org. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
You can review or revoke OwlFoundry's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future access but does not automatically delete information already stored by the Services. Contact us to request deletion.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International data transfers
The Services and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the effective date. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide additional notice when reasonably practicable.
